George Fuller Club For The Blind & Partially Sighted
The George Fuller Club For The Blind
The club is run for the benefit of people with visual inpairments who reside in the areas of Broxbourne, Hoddesdon, Cheshunt and surrounding areas. We are a voluntary organisation and are self-funded. The Club meets on the third Monday of each month, except January, at Bushby Hall Wharf Road Wormley, from 7pm until 9pm. Each monthly meeting we arrange for entertainment, organise a raffle and catch-up over tea and biscuits. We offer a range of social activities including a fun summer outing and an annual dinner.
Whilst the club was having it's regular meetings at the British Legion Hall, it was suggested that maybe the British Legion could entertain members of the George Fuller Club at their meetings. This was arranged and was such a success that it begun a great relationship between both parties, leading to many years of entertainment provided by the British Legion to the members of The George Fuller Club.
